If you are interested in Argentine Tango in Portland, you’ve come to the right place!
The first thing that most people say about dancing is “I have two left feet” and quit before they even start. However, you wouldn’t be good at golf, music or cooking either without receiving some instruction first.
Psychologists say that dancing is not only a good form of exercise but may also make your smarter. Further, the process of translating mental information into physical motion improves your mental acuity and your coordination. In addition, it is an excellent way to meet other people, improve your confidence and your overall sense of well being.
That is where I come in. I believe that anyone can dance Argentine Tango. All you need is a little stick to-it-tiveness and encouragement. My philosophy is based on the premise of inclusion and support. Over the last several years, I have helped many people, most new to dancing, “find their feet“.
I teach both group classes and privates in traditional salon style Argentine Tango in Portland, Oregon and Vancouver, Washington
Argentine Tango in Portland and Vancouver – Bridge City Tango
All of my classes are open to any gender identity, orientation, and race/ethnicity. While it’s true that in tango there are traditional “leader and follower” roles, a student may decide what role is best for them. If you have any concerns, don’t hesitate to contact me.
And what are you waiting for? The sooner you start, the sooner you too will be enjoying all the benefits!
Bridge City Tango is currently conducting lesssons and holding milongas in the Community Hall at Grace Church. Starting Sept. 4, 2019, we will also be teaching lessons at Groove Nation Performing Arts in Vancouver, WA (just over the bridge and near Hwy 5).
