Argentine Tango – The Ultimate Non Verbal Communication
Argentine Tango can be thought of as a conversation put to music, a thoughtful back and forth between dancers. The leader suggests and the follower listens and responds. There is no arguing and no shouting (at least we hope not). Each partner takes a turn to contribute to what is created.
Most leaders will tell you that what they enjoy most is an active follower that can respond to the lead and give back to the dance. After all, leaders know what they know and are inspired by the fun of what they get back.
Tango is not about whom we are individually but what we become when we’re together. If one monopolizes the conversation, then it’s not as pleasant. The goal of Tango is to allow both dancers to contribute to create a beautiful dance.
